I am retired from the medical field after 29 years in both research and clinical pathology. I own and operate several businesses and a small ranch in the country. I have 3 adult children, 5 grandchildren and many incredibly good friends. I live in the same town I grew up in and community is important to me. I am a hobbyist bladesmith, leather worker, and wine maker. My main business is facility maintenance for schools, hospitals, and large government buildings. My adult children work for me and run this business for the most part. My fun businesses are little retail shops. I own the local florist, yes, I did attend the Chicago School of Floral Design, to the amassment of my friends, the local dry cleaners, our little town did not have one, a boutique and gift shop, and an automotive detail, tinting and accessories shop. The businesses do not make any money but are fun and provide needed jobs. I believe in giving back to the community, so I use property I own on the County Square to host the local Farmer’s Market and Trade-Days for Texas artisans to showcase their work. I have worked hard and have been blessed.
I am looking for a companion, dating, and hopefully something more. I like to travel, go to nice resorts and nice restaurants, listen to live music, and just spend time with a beautiful, intelligent woman. My passion is working with my hands and anything having to do with the outdoors. I like to camp, overlanding, hike, I plan on section hiking the AT and PCT. I love anything to do with the beach. I consider myself to be a deeply passionate man. I enjoy experiencing new things, especially through the eyes of a lover. I do not have time for relationship games, and I will respect that in others. I have a wanderlust for life and a potential companion should be of the same mindset. I get it. Life happens, and not everyone can just pack a bag and fly off at a moment’s notice. But wishing they could is just as important. I like what Kipling wrote. I want to fill the “unforgiving minuet”. Time will keep moving regardless of what we do. It is up to us how we spend that precious gift.
