I was raised country by my grandparents and I got my moral compass from them , married for 57yrs and still held hands when they went for a walk. They didn't lie because they didn't do things that they had to lie about, people that never even considered cheating on their partner. Or cheating a friend or even a stranger ,because it just wasn't right, to be a man of character was what a man strived for, you did things for people because it put a smile on their face,not because they thought they would get a pat on the back, the days where wise men spoke because they had something to say and fools spoke because they just had to say something . If you love someone or a kind word that will help someone get through the day tell them don't risk them never hearing something that they might desperately need to hear if not right now isn't the right time,then when is .there is no garaunteed there will even be a tomarrow so don't wait to live and laugh and love and dance because it's all about what we do today that counts i don't want to die with a trouble heart and guilty conscience I want to know I tried to do the best I could sure I'll have made my mistakes as long the way but I hope they are honest mistakes where the intent was good I'm a simple man who doesn't ask for a whole lot and I'm definatly a work in progress and still have a lot to learn but I honestly strive to be that kind of man that I want to be someday, and if I don't find my soulmate here I hope I at least make some new friends. So here I come guys I'll try to say what I mean, and mean what I say and it say it mean
