I would describe myself as someone who listens, is kind, patient, attentive to my partner's feelings, and appreciative of the small things others do for me. I made the decision simplify my life and now live in the heart of the Missouri Ozarks Plateau. My home, the "Gentle Karma Farm", has fields, forests, hills, valleys, a stone bluff, springs, and a large, year-round creek, along with a clear view of all the starry constellations. Wild life and wild flowers abound. AND, this might be of interest to some of our friends near the ocean, Gentle Karma is 1,200 feet above sea level!!!
I bought raw land and live in a cabin, built with my own hands. I am aiming for more food independence. The top soil here is so rich I can grow healthier food than I could ever buy. Generally, I believe in a low-tech approach to most of life's needs. I heat with wood and catch and filter the rain for my water supply. Gravity feeds that water to my cabin. A future root cellar is planned for food preservation. I'm not a "prepper" but should the power grid go down, my food will still be safe (The great thing about low tech is that it always works, there are often no moving parts, and nothing that will break or have to be replaced). I do have the basic conveniences of electricity and super high speed DSL.
I am a self-reliant, resourceful, homesteader with integrity, intelligence, creativity, and a healthy work ethic. I am living a dream that was hatched the first time I picked up a Mother Earth News and have consciously cut much of the "excess" out of my life.
Just so you know I am not a complete, whacked out hermit, I have a cherished circle of similar friends who have also bought land here and we have become each other's support group. That said, a person who is outer directed, and needs a constant dose of city lights, will not like it here. On the other hand, if you are an inner directed person who loves nature, its beauty and serenity, this will be your paradise. I am also interested in finding out more about intentional communities and am not opposed to starting a small one.
I am looking looking for a partner in this grand enterprise, a slim(ish) woman who is aware, awake, and alive. A woman with a great sense of humor, who is literate and enjoys real conversations. She understands the difference between intelligence and wisdom. She probably doesn't mesh well with main stream sheeple who may think she's a little "weird" and, she may sometimes become frustrated by the pervasive mainstream unconsciousness that surrounds her. If she possesses a keen curiosity about life, has opinions and has courage enough to express them and loves to garden, then I would love to meet her, er, you. Does this woman/you actually exist? Hell, I don't know! But maybe we could get together and end up having an great conversation that, with luck, could turn into an awesome connection.
Looks DO matter. They shouldn't but they do. I have often been rejected for my looks and it has taught me that we are all somewhat shallow. That said, if you are a chunked-out, cigarette-smoking, Bible-beating, ignorant, willfully closed-minded bully, or anyone who voted for Trump, and likes Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity or is a fan of Fox News (Republicans), well, those are real deal breakers. From what I've seen here in the Ozarks, I've just lost about 90% of the audience. LOL
On the other hand, if you are kind, patient, a liberal, a hippie (not the smelly kind), an artist, photographer, writer, poet, an open-minded critical thinker or into CNVC, AND someone who enjoys growing vegetables, you will automatically zoom to the top of, what is probably, an exceedingly short list.
I am a whole person so I'm not looking for someone to "complete" me. I am not looking for someone who will fix my "boo boos" and "make" me happy as I am already there. But if you find me physically attractive and you aren't put off by my eccentric ideas, please respond so we can begin to build something worth celebrating.
